PBS Western Reserve to host Daniel Tiger at House Three Thirty 

PBS Western Reserve will host their annual Be My Neighbor Day event at House Three Thirty on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

 

Akron, Ohio — Feb. 9, 2025 — PBS Western Reserve invites families to join Daniel Tiger for the annual Be My Neighbor Day, a free event dedicated to building community, celebrating kindness and learning what it means to be a caring neighbor. This year’s event will be held for the first time at House Three Thirty in Akron on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

The event will feature hands-on learning activities, valuable information and resources from community partners, face-painting, and an opportunity to meet and take a picture with Daniel Tiger from “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” the beloved PBS KIDS series inspired by the iconic “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.” A strolling juggler will provide entertainment from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

“Be My Neighbor Day supports PBS Western Reserve’s mission of inspiring lifelong learning and connection across our region,” said Holly Cartwright, PBS Western Reserve’s chief educational officer, “We are pleased to bring the event to House Three Thirty because they share our devotion to uplifting our community.” 

Be My Neighbor Day is free and open to the public; no registration is required. House Three Thirty is conveniently located along the Akron METRO bus line and offers free on-site parking. 

The event is supported by PNC Grow Up Great and Fred Rogers Productions. House Three Thirty is located at 532 W Market St., Akron.
