Under the supervision of the President, this individual is primarily responsible for securing sponsorship funding (underwriting) from corporate and nonprofit sources in support of public television programming, digital sponsorships, local productions, events, etc. The Account Executive should have a passion for working for a mission driven public media organization, as well as a high level of initiative and attention to detail. The Account Executive should possess time management, organizational and prioritization skills. The individual must demonstrate superior integrity and a strong ability to work collaboratively as part of an effective multi-department team. The individual should exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong computer capabilities. A successful Account Executive will have the ability to build strong, long lasting client relationships by following a consultative sales approach. The individual is expected to develop new business and grow existing business by meeting with decision makers to understand their needs and develop proposals that offer marketing solutions to help them grow their business or organization. This Account Executive position will be accountable for the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing the sale, to copywriting and troubleshooting issues, to providing superior customer service to clients. Minimum 5 years broadcast and digital media sales, non-profit sponsorship with digital sales, or service based sales with digital offerings required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Part-time Master Control Technician
PBS Western Reserve is recruiting a part-time Master Control Technician for its broadcast operations in Kent. Candidate will work with full-time staff and be responsible for the day-to-day functions of preparing and airing programs and interstitial elements as a cohesive, uninterrupted, regulation compliant channel broadcast for all of PBS Western Reserve's broadcast channels. Candidate should have knowledge of professional digital video standards such as time code, and a general knowledge of server/client computer applications and operations. Experience in a broadcast environment is preferred, including automation software, matrix routers, switchers, tape machines, and a good understanding of signal flow necessary to operate these systems. Candidate should have good written and verbal communications skills, and any level of education or experience will be considered as long as it relates to the position. Position is primarily day shift, 20-25 hours per week, but you may be required to work other shifts as needed.
