Two of our documentaries—LINES BROKEN: THE STORY OF MARION MOTLEY and BLACK COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME: JOURNEY TO CANTON—have won multiple Telly Awards!

LINES BROKEN explores the life of Marion Motley, who in 1946 was one of four African American men to break pro football’s color barrier when he joined the Cleveland Browns. The documentary uses rarely heard archival interviews and new interviews with historians plus friends and descendants of Motley. It won a gold award for Television—Documentary; silver for Television—Social Impact; and bronze for Television—Biography.

BLACK COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME: JOURNEY TO CANTON tells the story of the formation of Black college football, the contributions that players from historically Black colleges and universities have made to the NFL, the founding of its hall of fame and why the hall is in the unexpected location of Canton, Ohio. It won a silver award for Television—Cultural and bronze for Television—Museums & Galleries.

The Telly Awards annually honor the best work created within television and across video, for all screens.
