Join travel expert Rick Steves for an unforgettable wine tasting adventure on February 26 at 8 PM! Whether you’re a long-time wine aficionado or just beginning your tasting journey, we welcome you! Sip along during this delightful evening with Rick and listen to his stories, tasting notes and learn more about the different wine varietals and flavors. 

A professional sommelier will guide you and Rick through a curated tasting of six wines shipped right to your door. Practice the five S’s of wine tasting — see, swirl, sniff, sip and savor — and develop your palate while getting to know Rick. 

This virtual adventure with Rick Steves is filled with discovery, a bit of indulgence and laughter. You’re sure to learn something new about the wonderful world of wine — and perhaps about Rick too!

Your ticket includes:

  • Access to the Zoom Webinar
  • 2 hours of wine education and Q&A lead by our sommelier who will be joined by Rick Steves
  • 6 mini bottles of wine (enough for two to taste) that will be shipped directly to your door

 

Your wine tasting kit includes the following varietals:

  • Portugal Tempranillo 2024 
  • Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC 2024 
  • Côtes du Roussillon Villages Red Blend 2023 
  • French Cabernet Sauvignon 
  • Rose from France 
  • Sauvignon Blanc/Picpoul Blanc called Bordeaux Blend 

 

PLEASE NOTE: 

  • Kits cannot be shipped to P.O. Box or Canada and the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Mississippi, Rhode Island and Utah.
  • Guests must be at least 21 years old to participate in alcohol related events
  • Ticket sales end at 5 PM on Feb. 2, 2026 to allow for time to ship the wine tasting kits
  • This package needs to be signed off on upon delivery to prove that the purchaser is 21+. 

 

Share this experience! You can add an additional kit (for an additional cost) and ship it to a separate address! Just purchase an additional kit and enter the shipping address for that person. 

Don’t delay! Tickets are limited and registration will only be open until Feb. 2, 2026 at 5 PM to allow for timely shipment of wine tasting kits. 

 

Shipping Details:

  • Ticket sales end at 5 PM on Feb. 2, 2026
  • Make sure that your address is submitted correctly (no typos!) Failure to type your address correctly will result in a shipping delay or even the possibility that your ticket will not be fulfilled 
  • Ticket holders will receive their wine tasting kits in the days before the event on February 26, 2026 
  • Kits cannot be shipped to: Canada, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Mississippi, Rhode Island and Utah. 
  • Kits cannot be shipped to a P.O. Box 
  • Ticketholders need to be home to show identification and sign upon delivery to prove they are 21+ years of age. Wine will not be delivered without this. 
  • Please open your kit when it arrives to ensure you are ready to sip along on Feb. 26! If you have any questions regarding your kit, please let PBS Western Reserve know. 


 

How it works:

This virtual event will take place via Zoom Webinar. Zoom is free to the public but requires a computer download. You can download Zoom here. Your kit will arrive in the days before the event.

By RSVPing for this event, you agree to receive timely news and updates on events, films, and special offers from PBS Western Reserve. Your registration information will be shared with our vendor for the shipment of the wine kits. This will be used to communicate with ticketholders about their order and not for promotional reasons.

Zoom Access

Can I share the Zoom link with a friend if I am unable to join the event? 

  • No. 

 

I purchased my ticket before realizing I have prior obligations!  Will this event be recorded? 

  • This event WILL be recorded and sent to ALL attendees a week following the event for you to still have the chance to sip along with Rick Steves and your delicious wines on your own time. 

 

How can I submit a question(s) to Rick Steves? 

  • You will be able to submit your questions to Rick (and the sommelier) during the event using the Q&A Zoom feature. Attendees will be able to “upvote” the questions they want to hear asked the most. We will focus on the questions with the most votes.  Unfortunately, we cannot promise all questions will be answered.

 

What do I do if I cannot find a Zoom link? 

 

Will Rick Steves be able to give a shoutout during the event? 

  • No. 

 

How do I get my Zoom link for this event? 

  • Zoom link will be sent to all ticket purchasers immediately following their purchase of the ticket in their confirmation email. Attendees may need to access their email’s junk folder to find this email. Along with the confirmation email, the Zoom link will be sent to all attendees in follow-up emails 48 hours, 24 hours and 1 hour before the event.

 

Will the event be captioned?

What do I do if I am having technical difficulties during the event? 

 

I have never used Zoom, what do I do? 

  • Before this event, you will need to download Zoom. Zoom is free to the public and you can download it here. If you already have Zoom you will not need to download the platform again.
