“When I was asked to serve on the newly formed Community Advisory Council in 2023, I wasn't initially sure if it would be worthwhile. Now, after two years of service, my interest and respect for PBS Western Reserve has increased, and my belief in the value of the Council has been confirmed. The staff of PBS Western Reserve is attentive to the feedback of each Council member, and I've been especially impressed with the concern given to any and all questions about the workings of the station and any suggestions for the betterment of programming, fundraising, etc. When I suggested the station cover the subject of human trafficking, Senior Producer Fred Barrett moved forward with my suggestion, affirming PBS Western Reserve's commitment to covering the difficult issues that affect our region and the world. PBS Western Reserve is more vital to Northeastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania than I had realized and I'm proud to be a member.”
