Celebrate Thanksgiving with the Peanuts Gang and More Family Favorites

This is the time of year when we begin gathering with family and sharing time together. PBS Western Reserve has lots of programs in the coming week that you can enjoy with the entire family.

Who didn’t grow up watching the Charlie Brown specials on TV? This Sunday we have what may be the best of them all—“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.” It first aired in 1973 and it’s still a heartwarming tale for all. You can see it Sunday, Nov. 21, at 7:30 PM.

Family is at the center of one of our favorite PBS dramas—“Call the Midwife.” If you’re counting, this is the 10th season of what happens in and around Nonnatus House and so we celebrate with an anniversary special. Cast members look back at their favorite moments and we’ll see how they select the costumes and music that have kept pace with the changing years. It’s a Call the Midwife Special Delivery, Sunday at 8 PM.

Believe it or not, there are things other than football on TV on Thanksgiving. When you’re not enjoying the turkey feast, PBS Western Reserve has the entire first season of All Creatures Great and Small to enjoy. A lot of people have told me this version is even better than the original, and it’s hard to argue. See it all on Thanksgiving Day, from 1–10 PM. By the way, Season 2 is just around the corner in January.

This being the Thanksgiving season, on behalf of everyone at PBS Western Reserve, thank you. Your membership and support mean the world to us. Your trust in us is beyond words. You’re the reason we look for the best programs to present each and every day of the year. Again—thanks!
