The Pointer Sisters: So Excited!

Celebrate the multi-Grammy Award-winning trendsetters in a 2024 performance spanning 50 years of hits. Three generations of Pointers showcase the songs that have won them generations of fans in this new special. Ruth Pointer is joined by her daughter Issa and granddaughter Sadako for a performance spanning 50 years of hits. Recent interviews with Ruth and archival photos interspersed between songs celebrate The Pointer Sisters’ musical impact. 

Ruth’s distinctive contralto and youthful energy lead a concert filled with the unbridled joy that shot “Automatic,” “I’m So Excited,” “Neutron Dance,” “He’s So Shy,” and “Jump (For My Love)” to the top of the charts. The set list also includes two of The Pointer Sisters’ earliest hits as a pop group — “Happiness” and “Fire” — as well as one of their biggest songs to top the charts in both the US and the UK, the ballad “Slow Hand.”
