In 1962, Stan Bowman, an “old” rookie at age 32, exploded on the race car scene and was on his way to the Indianapolis 500.
In conversations with Mario Andretti, Johnny Rutherford, Tony Stewart and others, this film describes Bowman’s rise in an age Mario Andretti calls the “golden era of race drivers.” It describes the dangers that awaited the drivers as they raced toward their destiny ... sometimes accomplished and occasionally shattered.
