Southern Celtic Christmas Concert
Through music, dance, poetry and song, A SOUTHERN CELTIC CHRISTMAS CONCERT celebrates the high spirits and mystical beauty of Celtic and Appalachian Christmas traditions. It features performances by three Grammy winners: "First Lady of Celtic Song" Moya Brennan, Celtic and bluegrass banjo virtuoso Alison Brown and Riverdance composer Bill Whelan. The program also features the soulful duo Rising Appalachia percussionist Joe Craven, Irish balladeer John Doyle, uilleann piper John Maschinot, The Buddy O'Reilly Band, the Rosin Sisters and other top traditional musicians from the Southeast.

Daniel's Winter Adventure — Daniel, Dad, Prince Wednesday and Prince Tuesday are all going sledding! But once they get to the hill and see how tall it is, Daniel and Prince Wednesday get scared. Dad assures them that if they try it a little bit at a time, they might surprise themselves and have a great time. Later, Daniel goes ice skating for the first time. When he tries it a little bit at a time, he realizes it is not so hard.
Neighborhood Nutcracker — Daniel is going to see a show called The Nutcracker Ballet! Once he arrives at the performance, he finds out that Prince Wednesday is sick and needs Daniel to fill in for him and dance on stage. Daniel is reluctant at first but realizes that if he learns the steps a little bit at a time, he can dance the Nutcracker and the show will go on!

All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914
The Western Front. Christmas. 1914. Out of the violence comes a silence, then a song. A German soldier steps into No Man's Land Singing "Stille Nacht." Thus begins an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music and peace. This production recreates an astounding moment in history when Allied and German soldiers laid down their arms to celebrate the holiday together by trading carols, sharing food and drink, playing soccer and burying the dead. This remarkable story is told through the words of the great WWI poets, official war documents, diary entries and letters written by more than thirty WWI soldiers. The historic documents are woven together with iconic WWI songs and European Christmas carols to create a profound retelling of this extraordinary moment in history.

This special follows an ailing professor and magician named Ed Coleman during the holidays. He is a 92-year-old, widowed World War II veteran who lives alone in a small apartment in Hoboken, N.J. He has been all but forgotten, but Ed has one thing that keeps him going — an upcoming visit by his grandson on Christmas. When a change in those plans finds Ed alone at a local pub he used to visit with his late wife, he discovers one last opportunity to reconnect with the world.
