Introduced in 2005, NORTHEAST OHIO TIMES is a PBS Western Reserve production that features interesting people, places and events in northeast Ohio. Producers of the quarterly series search the cities, suburbs and countryside for outstanding examples of what makes northeast Ohio unique.

All About Art

Northeast Ohio Times celebrates people who are definitive artists in their communities. In Cleveland, that person is industrial designer Viktor Schreckengost. In Akron, it is sculptor Don Drumm. Canton has watercolorist Tom Franta and Youngstown calls artist James Pernotto its own. May 2006.

Dan's Dogs

In this segment we visit Dan's Dogs in Medina. Dan's Dogs is renowned not just for its hotdogs served 35 different ways, but also for its full menu, homemade milkshakes and rootbeer floats. February 2006.

The Arms Family Museum of Local History

n this segment we visit The Arms Family Museum of Local History in Youngstown. It's not a gun museum; rather, it is the home of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society and former home of the Arms Family. February 2006.

Glamorgan Castle

In this segment we visit Glamorgan Castle in Alliance. It's the unlikely home of the Alliance City Schools administrative offices. The magnificent three-story structure that sits on 50 acres of land was completed in 1909 as the family home of Col. William Henry Morgan. February 2006.

Ravenna Fire Department

In this segment we visit the Ravenna Fire Department. The fire department recently acquired its newest piece of equipment —a 2006 Ford ambulance. February 2006.

The Cleveland Memory Project
