Passport: Your Ticket to Great Music and More

For so many of us, all roads lead to Broadway — the music, dancing, storytelling, glamor and excitement. If you’ve never been there, you owe it to yourself to enjoy the spectacle in person. Until then, PBS Western Reserve has you covered with 50 YEARS OF BROADWAY’S BEST. Sway to the music of Fats Waller, Stephen Sondheim, Duke Ellington, Andrew Lloyd Webber and many more this Sunday at 7 PM.
Do you remember me writing about the new Henry Louis Gates Jr. special, GOSPEL? If you missed it (tell me you didn’t) or want to see it again, here’s your chance. This Monday and Tuesday at 8 PM, you’ll feel the music wrap around you and make you get up and shout. Sure, the music is special, but what may be even better is the feeling the singers have for gospel music — and you will, too.
As I’ve mentioned before, we have so many terrific programs that we can’t fit them all on TV. That’s why we have the PBS app and Passport. It’s how you can watch performances by Billy Joel, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Carole King and so many others — any time you want. You can download both the app and Passport on your smart TV and start watching today. The app is free, and Passport is the “extra” you get with your PBS Western Reserve membership. Find out more here.
