PBS Western Reserve Community Calendar Acceptance Policy Guidelines 

Please note that PBS Western Reserve reserves the right to decline or edit submissions at our discretion. Inclusion in the calendar does not constitute an endorsement by PBS Western Reserve. 

 

Eligibility 

  • Events must be free and open to the public or benefit charitable causes.
  • Events must be within the PBS Western Reserve service area and, if virtual, must be labeled clearly.

 

 

Submission Requirements 

  • Supply full details, including date, time, location, description, hosting organization, contact information and registration details if applicable.
  • Virtual events must be marked appropriately and include access links.

 

 

Restrictions 

Private, commercial‑only events; political and religious* events; fundraising functions; protests; and job fairs will be excluded, unless aligned with policy. Events that include gambling or promote distilled spirits are also prohibited.

*We welcome community events that highlight cultural traditions from all backgrounds and religions (such as concerts, art exhibitions, and festivals). However, religious services, ceremonies, or events primarily intended for worship are not eligible for inclusion. 

 

 

Timing 

Submissions must be made at least 14 days prior to the event. 

 

 

Review Process 

  • Submissions are reviewed by PBS Western Reserve within 2–5 business days.
  • PBS Western Reserve may edit submissions for length, clarity and style.
