Revolutionary War Takes the Spotlight at Upcoming PBS Western Reserve Screening

Abbreviated screening of Ken Burns’ “The American Revolution” and Q&A with historical interpreters will be held at the Fine Arts Association on Thursday, April 16, at 6 p.m.

Wiloughby, Ohio — March 23, 2026 — Step into the minds of historical figures at a dynamic preview screening of Ken Burns’ latest hit series, “The American Revolution,” featuring an audience Q&A with historical interpreters who play George Washington, Martha Washington and Benjamin Franklin.

The free screening is hosted by PBS Western Reserve in partnership with the Fine Arts Association and will be held on Thursday, April 16, at 6 p.m. at the Fine Arts Association. The event supports PBS Western Reserve’s vision of uniting Northeast Ohio through lifelong learning.

“We’re looking forward to exploring how performance collides with history through our panel of talented interpreters,” said Stephanie Pacifico, marketing manager for PBS Western Reserve.

“At the Fine Arts Association, we understand the many ways the arts inform who we are as a culture and as individuals. This event will help highlight how the creative arts can shape our shared understanding of history,” said Paul Holm, CEO of the Fine Arts Association.

“The American Revolution” examines how America’s founding turned the world upside down and offers an expansive look at the war through the diverse perspectives of the men and women who lived through it. It is the Critics Choice winner for Best Historical Documentary.

The Fine Arts Association is located at 38660 Mentor Ave., Willoughby. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Register today at PBSWesternReserve.org/america-in-action.
